Our Mission
At Sierra Tool and Cutter Company, we are a manufacturer
of special high speed Steel, Carbide (solid or tipped) and
Stainless Cutting Tools for the Automotive, Aerospace and Defense
Industries. We have a full machine shop
as well dedicated to manufacturing special fixtures and parts. We incorporate in our production
some of the finest CNC grinding, machining, turning and support equipment available in the world
today. We
can offer you exceptional quality tooling at a very competitive price.
We strive to keep our customers happy with the products we manufacture, and
we find ourselves constantly evolving to meet our customers needs every day.
Our History
Sierra Tool & Cutter Company has over a 60 year history in the
manufacturing of special tooling. From our beginning in the cutting tool
business at our former facility in Detroit, Michigan, we had been manufacturing
only special tools. In Detroit, we dealt mostly with the automobile
manufacturers, but we also manufactured special tooling for the defense
industry. When we relocated to northern
California in 1984, we began to concentrate more on the rocket and defense industries. As we grew,
we became a major supplier for special tooling to some of the United States
largest aircraft and rocket engine companies. Sierra is one of the largest
manufactures of coolant fed drills on the west coast of the United States. We
incorporate in our production some of the finest CNC grinding equipment
available in the world today. Coupling our experience, our expertise and our
equipment, we feel we can offer you exceptional quality tooling at a very
competitive price.
Company Profile
We are a manufacturer of special cutting
tools used for the manufacture and repair of aircraft parts for the commercial,
aerospace and defense
industry. Utilizing a blend of our experience in modern CNC machining
capabilities, combined with over 60 years of hands on craftsman
cutting tool experience and equipment you just don't find much of anymore. Yes,
at time of this printing, we still employ personnel that have experience from
the 1950's and 1960's.
We are a federally licensed contractor for the development of prototype
tools for the department of defense.
